Shadows of the 60s recreates the classic style of The Four Tops with a line up of four men and two ladies anchored around the lead vocals of Dave Revels, whose voice recalls the powerhouse sound of Levi Stubbs. Unlike any Motown act and as the group's only lead singer for over 40 years, Levi left an indelible stamp on the group, making it impossible to do a Four Tops tribute without first, recreating that sound. On the recordings, the voices of Motown's background studio session singers, The Andantes were prominently featured.
