MESHELLE "The Indie-Mom of Comedy" is an award-winning stand-up comedian, playwright, and cultural curator known for blending bold humor with powerful social commentary. A Baker Artist Award winner and Open Society Foundations Fellow, MESHELLE uses the stage to amplify the voices of Black women and spark conversation around race, gender, and health equity.

Her acclaimed solo shows, including Diary of a MILF (Mom I’d Love to Follow) and Can I Be Great: Life After 20 Years Inside, have sold out theaters nationwide, including Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater. MESHELLE has appeared on BET, NBC, Starz, TruTV, and Nickelodeon.

A proud Bowie State alum and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she currently co-headlines the hit comedy show Mothers Know Best... Fathers Know Less with Brooklyn Mike Troy, offering a hilarious, heartfelt take on parenting, relationships, and modern family life.
