Gibran Saleem

Gibran Saleem grew up in Virginia in a Pakistani household.

His career in comedy began while he was a graduate student at New York University. It was during this time that Gibran was selected as an MVP nominee on the national TBS Rooftop Comedy College Competition and was also a 2-time recipient of the UCB diversity scholarship.

He made his stand-up television debut on AXS-TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, and has been featured on MTV, TV Land, Popcorn Flix, PBS, CUNY TV, VOA, Elite Daily, and Cosmopolitan. Gibran was the focus of an international documentary called "Asian Dreamers: Brown is Funny". He won 1st place in the Hoboken Comedy Festival, and has been featured in festivals nationally across the U.S.

He can be seen on Better Things on FX, and is the only comedian to ever be selected as a finalist on both Stand-Up NBC and NBC's Late Night. Gibran is a staple on college campuses and at comedy clubs all across the country!
